Hi all! My name is Olivia and I am currently a Graphic Design Student at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. I find joy in plants, chocolate, reusable bags, a solid film and graphic design. I plan to use my personality in my work and define processes while at the same time growing and changing to new ideas that pop up. I think that design is a language that can be communicated through words, colors, forms and shapes. I want to use these things in graphic design successfully and gain a better understanding of them through the learning process.
I intend to connect to people and form relationships with those around me, while always striving to spread kindness, empathy and joy. I plan on using my graphic design to impact people I come in touch with and build relationships in my community. I hope to build a better brand internally and externally for people that come to me for help with art and design. I love doing things for people in the community and personally I think graphic design has been a dream my whole life, even when I didn't know it.
I love finding the next coolest brand, here are some of my favorites right now!

Embracing the whole process
Everything begins with that initial instinct you get when an idea sparks from someone saying something specific, a latched on thought that you can’t get out of your mind until you get it onto paper, or a visual in your mind that just seems to be itching at the next best idea.
I want to be transparent with everyone and show them my initial ideas from past and current sketchbooks. I hope this shows you a better idea that the things i create are not just built in one day, there is a whole process from start to finish. I find the process the most fascinating part of the whole design because things can change from one sketch to another and evolve into something magical to have the best end result.
